Grant Thornton and Seeders have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation for the joint provision of specialized consulting services in the defense market sector, at a time when Europe is redesigning its defense architecture and Greece is emerging as a hub on the European defense map.
This collaboration marks Grant Thornton’s official entry into the defense market consulting ecosystem and leverages the complementary capabilities of both organizations – Grant Thornton’s reach, expertise and infrastructure as a leading provider of consulting and tax services, and Seeders’ specialized experience along with THYREON, its Defence & Security Business Unit, in the defense sector. The goal is to provide comprehensive, high-quality solutions to companies, organizations and public entities operating or seeking access to the defense market.
The scope of cooperation covers a wide range of specialized services, including support for European Defence Fund (EDF) programs, defense innovation and technology transfer, defense procurement consulting and organizational capability development, critical infrastructure protection, unmanned vehicle systems, as well as engagement with institutional bodies such as NATO, the European Defence Agency (EDA) and the Ministry of National Defence.
Through this partnership, Grant Thornton and Seeders aim to offer a comprehensive framework of strategic and operational support to organizations and businesses operating in the defense and technology market, responding to the increased demands of a rapidly evolving European environment.
On the occasion of the memorandum signing, Mr. Vasilis Kazas, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton in Greece, stated: “The defense market represents one of the most dynamically developing sectors, both at European and national level, with increasing demand for high-level
consulting services. Grant Thornton, responding to this new reality, is expanding its service portfolio and establishing an active presence in the defense market consulting ecosystem. The collaboration with Seeders, an organization with proven specialization and deep knowledge of the sector, allows us to offer comprehensive and substantial solutions to our clients, combining the reach and capabilities of our network with the expertise required by this particular field.”
For his part, Konstantinos Michanetzis, CEO of Seeders and Founder and Strategic Lead of THYREON noted: “The European defense market is being reshaped at an unprecedented pace, and Greece has the expertise, industrial base and geostrategic position to claim a substantial role. However, the transition from potential to actual participation requires specialized structures, methodology and access to critical European networks. This is precisely the gap that THYREON, the Defence & Security Business Unit of Seeders, came to fill, as the first comprehensive support structure for the entry of Greek companies into the European defense market. Through the THYREON Corps network of senior retired executives, the THYREON Signal strategic intelligence platform, and certified D2B and DIO training programs, we provide a cohesive model of operational readiness. The strategic partnership with Grant Thornton validates this model and expands it. By combining Grant Thornton’s financial, organizational and international strength with our deep knowledge of the defense environment and institutional bodies, we create a single point of reference for companies seeking a position in the new European defense architecture.”
