Shocking footage emerges from inside train cars immediately after the devastating train collision in Slovakia. A passenger’s harrowing account reveals the extent of the disaster: “The worst damage is in the first car. They’re going to evacuate us. Firefighters are already moving through the train asking if we’re okay,” says a passenger from the train that crashed near Pezinok.
David, a passenger traveling from Košice, said he heard “a loud noise” and felt “a very strong impact” while sitting in the fourth car. “I ran forward to help the injured. There were people with minor injuries, everyone was trying to help each other,” he told Aktuality.sk.
A female passenger described the moment of collision to Joj24: “It was horrible, I won’t lie. I was lucky, but it was terrifying. They say one train was supposed to stop and the other hit us from behind.”
Another passenger on the Tatran train, Šimon Sláma, recounted: “I was traveling from Piešťany to Bratislava, I take it often. About 15 minutes after departure, we all flew forward when it stopped suddenly. Only the table saved me, otherwise I would have fallen on the lady across from me. They evacuated all of us. I’m still in shock.”
