The club in Gazi outside of which the 16-year-old girl lost her life has finally been sealed. Earlier, Athens Mayor Haris Doukas had announced in a statement that he gave orders to immediately proceed with the procedures provided by law.
It is noted that initially the Municipal Police posted the relevant decision and then a crew from the Municipality of Athens sealed the main entrance of the nightclub.
Specifically, Mr. Doukas had stated in his post: “I gave orders to immediately proceed with the procedures provided by law for the bar that illegally served alcohol to a minor with the known tragic results.” Haris Doukas emphasized that for today’s municipal authority of the Municipality of Athens, defending the safety of citizens and especially young children is non-negotiable. “I hope that the competent authorities, understanding the seriousness of the problem, will act accordingly,” he added.
