An incredible story unfolded during the filming of a popular television show, when the host learned while on air that his wife was planning to kill him along with her lover. The case involves Aaron Goodwin, well-known host of the series “Ghost Adventures”, who was suddenly informed by police that his wife had been arrested, accused of preparing his murder.
“I feel like something is happening”: The host’s last words before the shock
Goodwin along with his co-host Jay Wasley were setting up UV and Polaroid cameras for filming at an abandoned medical center in Southern California, when he felt something strange.
“I feel like something is happening,” he said anxiously in front of the camera, shortly before receiving the phone call that would change his life.
“Dude, the police are at my house,” he shouted in shock, while the show’s production stopped the scene there.
According to TMZ, shortly after he was informed that his wife Victoria had been arrested, as it was revealed she was planning to murder him with the help of an inmate from Florida.
The plot with the inmate for the host’s murder and the arrest
Police revealed that Victoria was communicating through an illegal cell phone with lifer Grant Amato, discussing ways to “end” her marriage to Goodwin.
In one of the messages, she asked him: “Am I a bad person because I chose to end his existence instead of divorcing him?”
The two allegedly had collected over $11,000 to pay a hitman, while also maintaining a romantic relationship.
The plot was uncovered when authorities found Amato’s cell phone in the prison of the same man serving time for murdering his mother, father, and brother.
