As reported by a Sussex police spokesperson, the victim was participating in a historical demonstration wearing full armor when he was struck by a sword during the “battle.” The injured man, a resident of Horsham, was immediately transported to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he remains hospitalized in serious condition.
