A tragedy occurred on Wednesday afternoon (15/10) in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul, when a city bus crashed into a bus stop full of people, resulting in the death of a woman and injuring four people. Specifically, the accident occurred around 14:25 on Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Boulevard. According to reports, the bus driver began arguing while driving with a motorcyclist about who had the right of way. Subsequently, during the heated confrontation, the driver reportedly steered the vehicle toward the motorcycle, but lost control, causing the bus to first collide with three parked vehicles in front of a medical center and then crash forcefully into the bus stop where passengers were waiting.



Moreover, videos from inside the bus were later released to the public, capturing the moment of the argument and loss of control.

Istanbul: Bus driver and motorcyclist both arrested

It should be noted that the woman who was struck by the bus was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where she succumbed to her wounds. Four other people were injured, while both the bus driver and the motorcyclist were arrested by authorities. Police are conducting an investigation into the exact causes of the accident.
