Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is among the activists arrested by the Israeli Navy following the interception of vessels carrying aid to Gaza. According to Israel’s Foreign Ministry, several ships that are members of the Global Sumud Fleet (GSF) were “safely immobilized” and their passengers were being transported to an Israeli port. The ministry also added that the navy had ordered the ships to change course as they were “approaching an active combat zone.”
Early Thursday morning, the GSF reported that 30 vessels continued to “sail dynamically” toward Gaza and were located 46 nautical miles from their intended destination.
