“Every Greek has the right either to create a party or participate in a party, if Ms. Karystianou wants to do it. If she makes such a party, she will be my political opponent, possibly it might even be better. She exercises opposition from the podium of a mother who lost her child, I never responded to her because I respect that,” emphasized Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Parapolitika 90.1 and the show “Apenanti Mikrofona” with Sotiris Xenakis and Vasilis Skouris.

Georgiadis on potential Tsipras party
When asked about the possibility of Alexis Tsipras creating a party he noted: “The assessment is the same for Mr. Tsipras. Both scenarios for a new party (Karystianou, Tsipras) belong to the center-left, they will simply create greater chaos in an already fragmented space.”
On Antonis Samaras
Next, when asked about Antonis Samaras he explained: “I personally don’t comment on Mr. Samaras’s political moves. I have gratitude toward him, he opened the door for me to return to New Democracy. He gave me an opportunity that has led me to where I am today. I consider it inappropriate on my part to criticize Antonis Samaras.” When asked if a new Samaras party would harm New Democracy, he said: “It’s impossible to assume it would significantly harm ND, to some degree it might harm it, but I don’t know the extent. I’m always in favor of unity, not division. The great coalition will always be New Democracy.” He added: “The more political life becomes chaotic, it will function for one party and very much in reverse, I believe a large part of the public believes the country is doing well and doesn’t want to see it in new adventures, this chaos can also work positively for ND.”
On Androulakis and potential cooperation
Additionally, when asked about potential cooperation with Mr. Androulakis he answered: “Experience shows that two-party governments don’t work in Greece, a single-party government thinks of a policy and implements it. ND must fight for self-sufficiency. PASOK as I see it and based on Mr. Androulakis’s statements who doesn’t want to see Mr. Mitsotakis even painted, I don’t see how we can cooperate.”
On Velopoulos
Regarding Mr. Velopoulos he noted: “Not under any circumstances. We have a much greater distance than with PASOK. On all important decisions we disagree with Mr. Velopoulos. You can’t form a government like that.”
On Latinopoulou
While about Ms. Latinopoulou he said: “Ms. Latinopoulou has taken quite serious positions. I acknowledge that, but still I wouldn’t see a coalition government. I like that she doesn’t follow populism.” Finally he clarified: “When we talk about coalition governments it means the mandate is always taken by the leader of the first party. It may not be with self-sufficiency but Mr. Mitsotakis remains the winner.”
