Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered his own message to Hamas from the podium of the UN, while dozens of people walked out of the General Assembly hall in protest. At the same time, alongside boos and disapproval, applause could also be heard. Netanyahu thanked Donald Trump during his speech and rejected accusations of genocide. Sending a warning message, he addressed Hamas saying that if they don’t release the hostages, Israel will hunt them down.
UN: Netanyahu’s warning to Hamas
“I speak directly to the hostages: We have installed loudspeakers in Gaza, hoping you will hear my message,” said the Israeli Prime Minister and then declared:
“Brave heroes, I am Prime Minister Netanyahu, I am speaking to you live from the UN, we have not forgotten you, the people of Israel are with you, we will not rest until we bring you all home“.
“My words are being broadcast live to mobile phones in Gaza and I say to Hamas members: Surrender your weapons, release the hostages now, all the hostages. If you do, you will live, if you don’t, Israel will hunt you down,” Netanyahu emphasized.
Israel’s Prime Minister also said that several leaders who publicly condemn his country “thank us behind closed doors“.

Netanyahu: Rejects genocide accusations and starvation claims in Gaza
Netanyahu characterized the genocide accusations in Gaza as baseless, while categorically rejecting that Israel targets civilians, saying that in reality “the opposite is true“.
He then referred to the measures Israel takes to prevent civilian deaths, emphasizing that Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas in the world and that thousands of terrorists are hidden in areas with civilians. “Look what we do in one of Hamas’s last strongholds in Gaza, Gaza City, we warned civilians in advance to leave, while Hamas tries to prevent them from leaving,” he said
Netanyahu also emphasized that Israel provides food to Gaza residents, while being accused of deliberately depriving them of food. “If there are people who don’t have enough food, this happens because Hamas steals it,” Netanyahu said.

The “thank you” to Trump
Additionally, Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump for “his bold and decisive action against Iran“. The Israeli Prime Minister stated that “Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles must be eliminated“.
Netanyahu added that Israel “repelled Iran’s existential threat” to his country.
What he said about Palestinian state recognition
At the same time, he referred to the recognition of a Palestinian state, which, as he said, came after Hamas’s actions and the October 7 attack, which, Netanyahu noted, was supported by the majority of Palestinians –“they didn’t just support it, they danced on rooftops and celebrated,” he said.
“When the most savage terrorists are praising your decision, you didn’t do something right, but something tragically wrong,” he said and spoke of a “badge of shame,” while adding that “we believe in a two-state solution, but there’s a problem: Palestinians don’t believe in it“.
Netanyahu presented maps and cards to the General Assembly and conducted a “quiz,” as he called it.
One card he held read: “Who shouts ‘death to America’?,” with possible answers: “a) Iran, b) Hamas, c) Hezbollah, d) Houthis, e) all of the above“.
Voices were heard in the hall and Netanyahu marked the option “e) all of the above“.
Another card read: “Who has cold-bloodedly murdered more Americans and Europeans?,” with available answers being: a) Al Qaeda, b) Hamas, c) Hezbollah, d) Iran, e) all of the above – and he put a “tick” next to the last option.
Netanyahu further added that President Trump “understands better than any other leader that Israel and America face a common threat“.
He added that after the October 7 attack, many leaders supported Israel, but this support has since “vanished“.
