The local community of Kissamos in Chania, remains devastated by the tragic death of a 4-year-old boy, who became the victim of a fatal car accident involving the family vehicle on Thursday afternoon (25/09). No one can believe that this tragedy occurred and from one moment to the next, the little boy lost his life. “He became an angel,” says a local resident, while the parents of the unfortunate boy remain in a state of shock. It should be noted that everything happened when the family car, which was parked in an outdoor area, somehow moved forward.

Kissamos: The vehicle struck the 4-year-old causing head injuries
The area was on a slope and before the child’s father, who was present, could react, the vehicle struck the 4-year-old, causing head injuries.
The parents immediately took the child and transported him to the Kissamos health center, and from there an ambulance took him to Chania hospital where doctors did everything possible, unfortunately without success. Authorities are conducting investigations into the circumstances of the fatal accident, while the four-year-old’s father was arrested for manslaughter by negligence and released on prosecutor’s orders.
