GEK TERNA: The data behind the traffic increase
Average daily vehicle traffic on the Egnatia Odos motorway recorded a year-on-year increase of 1.3%, with the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) reaching approximately 254,880 crossings. Meanwhile, the Nea Odos and Kentriki Odos motorways reported a year-on-year decline of 1.3% and an increase of 5.6% respectively, with ADT figures standing at 128,879 and 48,940 respectively.
It is worth noting that traffic volumes on the Egnatia Odos, Nea Odos, and Kentriki Odos motorways were impacted in January by farmer protest mobilizations. Additionally, daily traffic on the Egnatia Odos motorway has been further affected by ongoing motorway upgrade and restoration works.
