Rain was set to hit Corfu on the evening of Wednesday, October 21, according to meteorologist Sakis Arnaoytoglou in his latest weather forecast. The well-known forecaster, however, was quick to point out that this was far from a widespread weather event, describing the situation as “postcode rainfall” — showers that essentially “choose” their own locations. As he emphasized, it all comes down to geography: your exact location determines whether rain will fall at any given spot. In some cases, muddy rain — carrying dust particles — is also possible.
Arnaoytoglou also spoke about an African dust cloud passing through on Thursday, October 22, expected to last just one day. Looking further ahead, he flagged a low-pressure system moving in from Monday, October 26, which will bring rainfall to southern Greece. However, the ongoing atmospheric instability continues to complicate an accurate forecast for October 28, leaving some uncertainty around the weather for that national holiday.
