US President Donald Trump signed executive orders alongside sports personalities at the White House. One executive order will restore the physical fitness test for school children, which was abolished in 2012.
Trump on executive orders: Important role in shaping these new policies for future generations
Accompanied by professional athletes, he states that the order, which reorganizes the president’s council on sports, fitness and nutrition, represents a “major step in our mission to make America healthy again“.
Among the athletes accompanying him is former WWE wrestler Triple H, whom Trump describes as a “strong man“. Jokingly flexing his biceps, Trump adds: “I’m glad you’re here“.
He also confirms that he will restore the national physical fitness assessment that was implemented in public schools from 1956 to 2013 in the US – the presidential physical fitness test. Trump continues by saying that the council will play an “important role in shaping these new policies for future generations“.
