A power outage struck Russian-occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia on Monday, August 10, following Ukrainian strikes on energy infrastructure — at least according to claims made by Moscow. Regional authorities on Telegram also reported that power was cut in Novorossiysk, a Black Sea port, as well as in Gelendzhik, a tourist resort in the Krasnodar region of Russia. Ukraine has found ways to “respond” to Russian attacks, managing to rebalance a situation that once seemed to be weighing heavily against it.
However, both Russia and Ukraine appear to have no common ground for diplomatic talks, as the war enters its 54th month (4.5 years) since it began.
