Generally clear weather and abundant sunshine will characterize Wednesday (1/7) across most parts of the country. However, during the warmest hours of the day, localized showers and thunderstorms will develop over mainland areas, mainly in the west and north, due to temporary atmospheric instability. Similar conditions will persist over the coming days, with high temperatures continuing and the mercury reaching 37 to 38 degrees Celsius in some areas. Despite these elevated readings, full heatwave conditions will not develop, as the heat will be localized in nature and short-lived. From Friday, and especially throughout the weekend, northerly winds will strengthen, leading to a gradual drop in temperatures and a return to more seasonally normal conditions.
