“Do you have a non-performing loan? You have every right to fight back”
In a video posted on social media, Nikos Androulakis made a pointed statement regarding the Supreme Court ruling: “Do you have a non-performing loan? You have every right to fight back.”
“In the wake of the Supreme Court ruling — which determined that interest on court-approved repayment arrangements must be calculated on the installment amount, not on the entire outstanding capital as had been unjustifiably applied until now” — PASOK notes that Androulakis is openly criticizing the government’s back-and-forth stance and its second thoughts on how to implement the court decision, as reflected in public statements made by government officials.
Specifically, the PASOK leader highlighted the party’s intervention, calling for:
– Full and immediate enforcement of the ruling.
– Notification of every borrower regarding their new installment amount.
– Reimbursement of all excess amounts that were unlawfully charged.
– A review of cases involving borrowers who lost legal protection because they were unable to meet illegally inflated repayment installments.
@nikos.androulakis The question is simple: Are you with the borrowers or with the funds? We have chosen our side.
