An aviation accident occurred at Antalya airport in Turkey on Thursday afternoon, June 11, when a Boeing 777-3Q8 (TC-LKD) aircraft collided with a radar tower during landing. According to a report by “Hürriyet” in its local edition, the aircraft made an error regarding the taxiway, meaning the area where the plane enters to taxi after landing, and struck a radar tower belonging to the air traffic control system. According to the same report, oxygen masks dropped and three passengers, as reported by Turkey’s Ministry of Transport, sustained minor injuries. They, along with all other passengers, were safely evacuated. The aircraft, as well as the radar tower, suffered material damage from the collision, as shown in video footage.

Turkey: Technical investigation underway
The head of communications for Turkish Airlines, whose aircraft collided with the radar tower, wrote on platform X that its right wing came into contact with it. Yahya Ustun specifically emphasized that the passenger who sustained minor injuries was “in good health.” Additionally, he stressed that a technical investigation regarding the incident is underway.
