The main stage of Tomorrowland, the world’s most famous electronic music festival, was destroyed by a fire that broke out on Wednesday (16/7), just two days before the scheduled start of the event on Friday. The festival, taking place this year in the city of Boom, Belgium, is expected to attract around 100,000 attendees, many of whom had planned to camp at the venue. Fire services arrived immediately at the scene, but the flames unfortunately completely destroyed the main stage.

Close doors and windows
Authorities issued an appeal to local residents to keep their doors and windows closed due to the fire that broke out at Tomorrowland’s main stage. Although there were no visitors at the venue, several staff members were on site for festival setup, which begins on Friday (18/7). Tomorrowland has been running since 2005 and attracted 400,000 people last year.
