The Greek Left Coalition (ELAS) has launched a sharp attack against the government, following the incident involving National Security Secretary General Thanos Dokos, who fell victim to Russian pranksters. In an official statement, ELAS Foreign Policy spokesperson Haris Tzimítras highlighted that “the fact that the Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor fell victim to Russian hackers and revealed sensitive national plans — both regarding Ukraine and the contacts of the Greek intelligence service director — represents yet another deeply alarming incident for national security, following the Ukrainian drone incident.”

“We expect the necessary explanations to be given”
“Once again, the Mitsotakis government proves to be dangerously amateurish in handling matters of national sensitivity, even if it remains absolutely professional in its public communications,” Mr. Tzimítras added in his statement, concluding: “We expect the necessary explanations to be given, along with the immediate adoption of serious measures to protect the country from all forms of hybrid threats.”
