“When a fascist (Floridis) says I have connections to a criminal organization, that is a punishable act,” stated the president of “Course of Freedom,” Zoe Konstantopoulou, who appeared as a guest on Parapolitika 90.1 on Wednesday morning (6/5). She discussed political developments on the “Opposite Microphones” show with Sotiris Xenakis and Vasilis Skouris, emphasizing that “Adonis Georgiadis wants to take Mitsotakis’ position.”

In detail, Zoe Konstantopoulou initially noted that today is a significant day as it marks the anniversary of the first memorandum. On the Gaza flotilla
Zoe Konstantopoulou then referred to the “Global Sumud Flotilla” with activists heading to Gaza, saying: “Recently, a ship entered territorial waters west of Crete and south of the Peloponnese. They took two hostages on false charges. This is the responsibility of the country and state. The Israeli navy cannot operate in our waters. Why does Mitsotakis allow this? Unprecedented events. He implicates us in international crimes.”
On wiretapping investigation
Referring to the wiretapping scandal, the Course of Freedom president said: “Mr. Mitsotakis is being exposed. He’s inventing another excuse to avoid the truth. Javelas’ intervention doing the ‘dirty work’ has been proven. Floridis wants to control judges and lawyers. When a fascist (Floridis) says I have connections to a criminal organization, that is a punishable act.”
She added: “Floridis is bothered that I don’t shut up about the Tempe crime. The deception of the Greek people must stop (regarding the trial courtroom). Now all these fascists are trying to attack me (and Nikos Konstantopoulos). They dare use unacceptable language. I bother them both as opposition and as a lawyer.”

She clarified: “The wiretapping case cannot be closed. I’m committed to act within my duties. These are felonies (espionage for the state of Israel). Mitsotakis says for national security reasons we don’t respond. Greece’s national security or Israel’s? Mitsotakis allies with a state that commits crimes and is blackmailed by a foreign state. It’s clear the government isn’t autonomous to make decisions.”
New parties
When journalists asked about Tsipras and Karystianos’ parties, Zoe Konstantopoulou said: “Our relationship is with the Greek people. What we said, we did (as Course of Freedom). The people recognize us as opposition.”
She added: “Tsipras destroyed his party and country. Now he plays innocent, hasn’t apologized for anything. Not even for the Mati crime, even in his book. He only wrote that he knew there was danger and despite this didn’t protect people. That evening (Mati tragedy) was a badly staged performance. They pretended they knew nothing.”
Speaking about Maria Karystianos she said: “It’s her right to enter politics. I won’t engage in confrontation with her.”
Elections
When asked “Post-election, no government solution. Will you be part of a solution?”, Zoe Konstantopoulou said: “We are part of the solution, but that doesn’t mean bargaining, nor trapping people in their own games. To restore democratic function in our country. Parliament has been deactivated.”
