The American president, Donald Trump, made new references to developments in the war against Iran, following the announced extension of the ceasefire, through a barrage of posts on Truth Social.
Once again, he referenced the Strait of Hormuz, saying that Iran wants them reopened since it’s losing $500 million per day. Donald Trump explained that Tehran says it wants them to remain closed simply for “appearances.” The American president also mentioned a conversation he had with an official, launching yet another round of threats against Iran.
He recounted that someone told him Iran wants to open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, but if that happens, there will never be a peace agreement unless the US destroys what remains of Iran and neutralizes its leaders.
“Iran doesn’t want to close the Strait of Hormuz, they want it open to make $500 million a day (which is, therefore, the amount they lose if it closes!). They say they want it closed only because I have completely blockaded them (it is closed), so they just want to ‘save face.’ Four days ago, some people approached me and said: ‘Sir, Iran wants to open the Straits, immediately.’ But if we do that, there will never be a deal with Iran, unless we blow up the rest of their country, including their leaders,” he wrote specifically.

In a later post, Trump wrote along the same lines that “Iran is collapsing economically” and desperately needs cash, while its military and police are “complaining they’re not being paid.”

Hours earlier, Donald Trump attacked a Wall Street Journal report, claiming that Iranian ships are at the bottom of the sea while its warplanes, radars, and nuclear facilities have been destroyed.
He referenced the 12-day war that occurred last June, where the US and Israel jointly struck Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Although they claimed from the beginning that they destroyed a large portion of Iran’s nuclear capacity, Iran denied this information.
“Their warships are at the bottom of the sea, their Air Force has vanished, their anti-aircraft systems and radars have been destroyed, their nuclear laboratories and storage facilities exploded slowly one dark night in June from our massive B-2 bombers. Their leaders are dead, including General Soleimani, who destroyed so many lives with his beloved roadside bombs, the Strait of Hormuz is blockaded and fully controlled by the US, with no ships allowed to sail to Iranian ports. -They are said to be losing $500 million a day because of this-.
Their country is an economic disaster, hanging by a thread. Barack Hussein Obama gave them $1.7 billion in ‘green’ cash, transported by Boeing 757 to their leaders, and hundreds of billions of dollars to help them on their path to nuclear weapons. Other presidents did nothing to stop them, a disgrace to the Presidential Office! But despite all this, I have an idiot on The Wall Street Journal editorial board writing that they consider me a ‘fool,'” he wrote.

Trump announces ceasefire extension until Iran deal is closed
It should be noted that Donald Trump yesterday announced through his post that he is ordering an extension until a deal with Iran is closed, emphasizing however that the naval blockade on Iranian ports will continue to remain in effect.
He explained that the ceasefire (which was set to expire today) is being extended due to the division prevailing in Iran, following a request from Pakistan – a country that has assumed a mediating role. He added that he will wait for Iran to present a proposal for ending the war.
CENTCOM: “We remain ready and are equipping ourselves”
While the US and Iran continue to “enjoy” the ceasefire, CENTCOM, the US Central Command, is “showing” its forces through social media.
In a video that was uploaded, it shows American warplanes, troops and ships as well as US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth with Admiral Brad Cooper.

In the video, the admiral is seen saying “we are equipping, renewing and adapting our tactics, techniques and procedures. There is no army in the world that adapts like we do and that’s exactly what we’re doing right now during the ceasefire,” sending a message to Iran that the war is not over.
Iran calls Trump’s ceasefire extension a “ploy” before new US-Israeli attack
The announcement by American President Donald Trump Tuesday night that he is extending the ceasefire with Iran until further notice “certainly” constitutes a “stratagem” to “secure time” before launching a “new surprise attack” against Iran, judged late Tuesday night Mahdi Mohammadi, advisor to the president of the Iranian parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf–a politician with growing influence, who led Tehran’s negotiating team in recent negotiations–estimating that it’s time for the Iranian side to “take the initiative.”
The extension of the truce “means nothing,” argued Mr. Mohammadi, who expressed himself via X in Persian. He added that the blockade of Iran’s ports by US armed forces has no substantial difference “from bombings” and “must be met with military retaliation.”
Before the Republican tycoon’s announcement, a Reuters news agency source in the Iranian political leadership said that Tehran’s negotiators are willing to participate in talks with Washington, but with the precondition that the other side will abandon the policy of pressure and threats and stop essentially demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”
The Iranian side strongly condemned the interception and seizure of two commercial ships by US armed forces as part of the blockade of the country’s ports, with the second recorded yesterday, calling it “piracy at sea” and “state terrorism.”
