Donald Trump made a new post on the Truth Social platform, with a sharp statement about the latest developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the relations between the United States and Iran.
In his post, President Trump accused Iran of having “fired yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz – A complete violation of the ceasefire agreement.” As he noted, several of the shots targeted a French ship and a United Kingdom cargo vessel.
Trump noted that his representatives are set to travel to Islamabad, Pakistan for negotiations, while he emphasized that Iran had announced the closure of the straits, “which is paradoxical, since the American exclusive zone has already closed them.”
He added that this situation is economically damaging Iran, which –as he argued– is losing $500 million daily, while the United States suffers no losses. In fact, he mentioned that many ships are already heading to the states of Texas, Louisiana and Alaska for loading, “with the assistance of the IRGC that always wants to show it’s tough.”
The American president stated that his country is offering a “fair and reasonable agreement” to Iran, warning however that if there is no acceptance, “the United States will destroy every energy production facility and every bridge in Iran.”
Closing his post, Trump emphasized: “It’s time to end the Iranian death machine,” noting that he would consider it an honor to do what, as he said, “should have been done 47 years ago by previous presidents.”
