Theories behind Khamenei’s absence
Earlier today, a written message from Mojtaba Khamenei was released on the occasion of the Iranian New Year being celebrated today. In it, he said among other things that the “enemy thought it would cross Iran in two-three days” and spoke about the “three wars” that Iran fought last year. Since February 28, when his father and Iran’s longtime supreme leader Ali Khamenei was killed, Mojtaba has not shown signs of life. Rumors suggest he is injured – possibly severely or even disfigured – while both the US and Israel officially claim ignorance about whether he is alive.
