A tragic accident occurred at Athens “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport when a 67-year-old woman lost her life while disembarking from an aircraft. The unfortunate woman, who was a person with special needs, had arrived on a flight from Kefalonia to “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport.
During her disembarkation using the special mobility lift, the 67-year-old and her companion fell from a short height, resulting in minor injuries to the man and severe injuries to the woman.
She was immediately provided with first aid by the ambulance crew stationed at the airport.
However, the 67-year-old woman passed away during her transport to “Gennimatas” hospital.
