A meeting with the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Andrew Bailey, in the presence of his associates and representatives of the United States Embassy in Greece was held on Tuesday (17/02) by Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis and Deputy Justice Minister Ioannis Bougas. The meeting – which took place in a particularly warm and constructive atmosphere – focused on further cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the FBI on matters of mutual interest.

Justice Ministry leadership meets FBI Deputy Director
It should be noted that the discussions focused on, among other things, cooperation opportunities in the field of training judicial officials, prosecutors and investigative authorities through knowledge exchange, training programs and targeted educational initiatives.
During the meeting, Giorgos Floridis emphasized the strategic importance of close institutional cooperation for strengthening the effectiveness of criminal justice and combating modern forms of crime, noting that “the exchange of best practices substantially contributes to strengthening the rule of law”.
For his part, FBI Deputy Director Andrew Bailey expressed his appreciation for the level of cooperation that has been developed to date and reiterated the FBI’s willingness to support initiatives that enhance interoperability and operational readiness of competent authorities.
Both sides agreed to maintain systematic communication channels, with the goal of further deepening bilateral relations in the field of justice and crime prevention.
