The Tsipras Institute announcement
The discussion about the convergence of Social Democracy, Political Ecology, and Radical Democratic Left has been underway at the European level since the first decade of the 21st century. In our country, however, this necessary synthesis of ideas and political currents has been significantly delayed.
Today, within an environment of multiple social, economic, environmental, and democratic challenges, grassroots dialogue for a new programmatic and value-based synthesis becomes more timely than ever. Aiming to contribute substantially to this process, the Alexis Tsipras Institute is establishing a Working Group that will seek to enrich theoretical reflection and advance the common agenda of the three currents.
Our central pursuit is the collective renewal of political discourse and the formation of a coherent framework of principles and directions that will defend what belongs to us in common, creating a convincing alternative to the dominance of neoliberalism.
Within this framework, the Group will work to develop a structured document of political principles and directions that will reflect the new common programmatic and value-based starting point. In this way, it aspires to contribute to the formation of a renewed yet coherent political identity with durability and prospects.
