Nova: confirms its commitment to supporting initiatives with substantial social impact
Basketaki AμεA is not just a basketball tournament. It is a living story of joy, friendship and cooperation that transcends the boundaries of the court and functions as a bridge of life between sport and society. Through authentic moments, human stories and powerful emotions, the documentary captures the silent power of the soul hidden in every basket, every glance, every smile. The production shows that true strength is not measured in victories or scores, but in the ability to share, create and believe that nothing is impossible. Basketaki AμεA is an inspiration and living proof that sport can unite people, cultivate values and make our world better. Through this collaboration, Nova confirms its long-standing commitment to supporting initiatives with substantial social impact, giving a platform to stories worth hearing and actively contributing to enhancing the visibility of disability sports.
Subscribers will have the opportunity to watch the documentary in its first broadcast on Thursday, January 29 at 7:00 PM and in a repeat broadcast on Sunday, February 2 at 12:00 PM, on Novasports Prime. The documentary features those who made their vision a reality, talking about their goals and the moral satisfaction of success. Parents open their hearts describing the changes they experienced and continue to experience through the organization and the outlets that sport provides. The children themselves talk about their experiences, their emotions and the dreams born through basketball.

“Basketaki disability basketball is a vision born from the need for equality”
Konstantinos Magkaniaris, Business Development Director of Basketaki, noted: “Basketaki AμεA is not just a championship. It is a vision born from the need for equality and evolved into living proof that sport can change lives. It’s proof that when you give space, faith and opportunities, you create something much bigger than a game: you create hope, strength and perspective. For us, inclusion is not a slogan, it is a value, responsibility and daily commitment. We deeply believe that sport is a public good and should be truly accessible to everyone. Through Basketaki AμεA we see our wonderful athletes not only competing, but evolving as personalities, gaining confidence, building relationships and proudly claiming their rightful place in society. This is our greatest victory!
I want to warmly thank Nova and AFIS, who believed in this vision and stand by us, helping to amplify a message that unites us all: that sport can become a bridge of life, hope and equality. Because at Basketaki, as the championship motto says, ‘we shoot three-pointers for inclusion and block exclusions.’ Our commitment is to continue growing this vision, developing the championship and strengthening, day by day, its social impact.”
