Farmers are ready to march on Athens with their tractors, according to statements made to Parapolitika 90.1 radio during the show “She and I” with journalists Stella Gantona and Thanasis Fouskidis by Socrates Aleiftiras, spokesperson for the Agricultural Federation of Larissa.
He stated that the condition of 35 people participating in the meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis “is the smallest possible number,” emphasizing that the next escalations of mobilizations could include a rally in Athens, with a timeline of “early next week.”

Among other things, he emphasized:
S.ALEIFTIRAS: The 35 people we set is the smallest possible number we could set so that it meets the conditions set by Mr. Marinakis, we will not back down on this. We continue to ask the Prime Minister to accept the appointment with two committees of 35 people.
S.ALEIFTIRAS: Today the Nikaia blockade will close the bypass roads from 3 pm to 6 pm, I think similar escalations will happen in other blockades across the country, and tomorrow at 1 pm we will have a more closed nationwide meeting in Palamas Karditsa so we can see what the next steps of escalation are. The next escalations may include from a total blackout to a march with tractors and a large rally in Athens.
Regarding the farmers’ rally in Athens
S.ALEIFTIRAS: If it is decided by the nationwide committee of blockades in tomorrow’s meeting, I see it happening in early next week. This doesn’t mean we don’t want dialogue
