Initial reports indicate that the small child was found alone next to the pitbull, which for unknown reasons became extremely aggressive and began biting him repeatedly, primarily on the neck. The father tried to pull the child from the animal’s jaws, but when the ambulance arrived, the little boy was already in extremely critical condition. Despite superhuman efforts by doctors at Zakynthos hospital, he died shortly afterward.

The nurses who received him described scenes they had never encountered before, speaking of deep and extensive injuries across the child’s entire body. “We have never witnessed such a scene,” the shocked nurses and doctors said, describing the condition of the unfortunate boy.
