U.S. President Donald Trump announced via a Truth Social post that, following what he described as a highly successful conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, an agreement has been reached for the immediate supply of more than 300,000 tons of diesel to the American and global markets. According to Trump, Russia will supply an additional 500,000 tons during November, followed by another 1,000,000 tons shortly after. He also added that, depending on the condition of the country’s diesel refineries, Russia will deliver an additional 3,000,000 tons of fuel in the near term.
Trump: “Diesel prices will drop at record numbers, and fast”
“Between our FULL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz and this great announcement on Russian energy, diesel prices for Americans and, indeed, for the entire world, WILL GO DOWN, AT RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!” the American president wrote in a characteristically bold statement.
Donald Trump emphasized that lowering prices for Americans is his highest priority, with special focus on farmers, ranchers, and truck drivers.
“This is a very big and important announcement,” the U.S. president noted. Closing out his post, he added: “Furthermore, it must be understood that Iran will not be getting a nuclear weapon!”
