Two people were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Doncaster, United Kingdom, where a car plowed into pedestrians at a central location in the city before colliding with two other vehicles.
How the tragedy unfolded
According to a statement from local authorities, the incident occurred on Sunday (13/9) on a main road in the city, where a vehicle traveling along the central carriageway struck four pedestrians. It then collided with two other vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.
Two of the pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene, while four people were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Driver arrested
The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, as well as driving under the influence of substances or while unfit to drive.
