US President Donald Trump has weighed in on the immigration crisis, referencing the dramatic scenes of a massive wave of migrants arriving at Ceuta, Spain, and warning that a similar situation could unfold in the United States if the Democrats return to power. Speaking on Friday (31/7) to Fox News, the Republican president described the images of thousands of migrants pouring into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta as “horrific,” arguing they serve as a stark warning of what could happen in the United States.

The Republican president said, “remember this picture. That’s what we’re going to be in three years if the wrong group wins,” according to a reporter for the channel. “If the Democrats win [the elections], you’re not going to have a very happy life,” Trump was also quoted as saying, according to a post by Jackie Heinrich on platform X.

Vance on Ceuta images: “Thank God Trump was elected and our country’s border no longer looks like this”
Vice President JD Vance echoed a similar message regarding the migration crisis. “These images out of Spain are a reminder of the consequences of mass migration and the radical left-wing globalist policies that have enabled the invasion of the West,” he wrote on the same platform. “Thank God,” Vance added, “Trump was elected and our country’s border no longer looks like this.”
Since Thursday, senior White House officials have been pushing the message that a Democratic return to power would signal a return to mass migrant crossings along the Mexican border.
