Arkansas: Meteorologist continues emergency weather broadcast while studio fire breaks out
“If you just tuned in, a fire just broke out in the studio, but we have two tornado warnings, so we need to keep monitoring and covering this event live,” meteorologist Noah Simons said, while trying to cope with the smoke that had filled the space.
Fortunately, within a few minutes, the fire that had broken out was extinguished. “The fire is out, so I’m safe,” Simons continued in the broadcast.
Speaking to CNN, Simons explained that conditions weren’t ideal for live broadcasting, but he had to continue the weather report to keep viewers informed.
