Prosecutors state that “at approximately 8:03 PM, while in his hotel room, the defendant used his phone to take a photograph of himself in the mirror.” “The defendant’s scheduled emails with the attachment ‘Apology and Explanation’ were sent a few minutes later, around 8:30 PM,” they added. “Shortly after, the defendant rushed the checkpoint with a hunting rifle.” On Monday (4/27) Allen was indicted and charged with: attempted assassination of the president, possession and use of firearms.
