In response to recent incidents of antisemitism, Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni stated on Friday (August 14) that “Greece guarantees the safety of all its visitors. Racist behavior and acts of violence are punished in the most exemplary fashion, are absolutely condemnable, and have no place in our democracy.”

Respect and protection of every visitor is a non-negotiable condition of Greek hospitality
Olga Kefalogianni emphasized that “the Ministry of Tourism is working closely with all relevant ministries to ensure that respect and protection for every visitor, regardless of their origin or religious beliefs, remains a non-negotiable condition of Greek hospitality.”
At the same time, the Tourism Minister stressed that “Greece remains an absolutely safe, welcoming, and open destination of global reach, both for Israeli citizens and for all of its visitors.”
