«Today, instead of the regular weekly government progress report, I chose to share with you how much our country has advanced from 2019 to the present — in a measurable and well-documented way,» wrote Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his post.

«Over these seven years, Greece has changed in many ways — from the economy and employment to the digital transformation of the state, healthcare, education, and defense modernization. I am well aware that not everything has been resolved. There are still problems that affect citizens’ daily lives, and we continue to work on them with the same determination,» the Prime Minister wrote.

Last week marked three years since citizens renewed their trust in the government in 2023, and in a few days it will be seven years since Greek voters first entrusted us with the responsibility of governing the country in 2019. I strive every day to honor that mandate. I know that citizens’ expectations and demands are high, and that we do not always succeed in meeting them. Nevertheless, since 2019, our country has recorded undeniable progress across many policy areas.

That is why today, instead of the regular weekly government report, I chose to share with you how much our country has progressed from 2019 to the present — in a measurable and well-documented way.
I do not believe that citizens make up their minds based solely on a retrospective report. They look — rightly so — primarily to the future. They demand that we continuously improve. But it is the consistency that connects commitments to results — results that make citizens’ daily lives a little better — that builds trust.
This is what we want to be our greatest competitive advantage. Every day, we strive to be a government that proves in practice that it delivers on virtually all of its commitments. Nine out of ten pre-election pledges from 2023 have already been fulfilled or are currently being implemented. And that is the best indicator of credibility.
Over these seven years, Greece has changed in many ways — from the economy and employment to the digital transformation of the state, healthcare, education, and defense modernization. I am well aware that not everything has been resolved. There are still problems that affect citizens’ daily lives, and we continue to work on them with the same determination.
But faced with an opposition that chooses to deny every form of progress and dismiss every collective achievement of the country, we choose comparison over conflict. We choose commitments that translate into tangible results.
We are in the middle of a decade-long effort to transform the country, with a horizon set at 2030 — the milestone marking 200 years since the formation of the modern Greek state. An effort that is not measured by slogans, but by concrete results.
That is why today I am sharing with you the full record of our work from 2019 to the present — not to dwell on the past, but because what we have achieved together forms the foundation for what we are obliged to change by 2030.
Our country is moving forward — with national confidence, with a clear plan and unity, with the political stability that fuels bold reforms and meaningful change. And we press on.
