Sokrates Famellos announced at the parliamentary group meeting of SYRIZA the replacement of Nikos Pappas by Kostas Barkas and Theophilos Xanthopoulos from the position of the party’s parliamentary spokesperson. The former close ally of Alexis Tsipras made a terse comment to parapolitika.gr, noting in response to his removal and the ongoing changes within SYRIZA: “No one is irreplaceable.” He further added that “this applies to everything.” It is also worth noting that a change was made in the party’s press representation, with Christos Giannoulis succeeding Kostas Zachariadis.
