Crowds of people gathered on Saturday morning (15/11) at the historic Polytechnic building on Patission Street to pay their own tribute ahead of the 52nd anniversary of the November 17 uprising. The gates of the Polytechnic opened at 9:00 AM, marking the beginning of the three-day commemoration that will conclude on Monday (17/11), with the memorial already filled with red flowers.
Young and old, families with their children gathered at the memorial from the first moment the gates opened. Citizens rushed to pay tribute to the 1973 fighters, leaving flowers at the memorial.
