The mobile phone of the doctor accused in connection with the death of Giorgos Mazonakis is now under close scrutiny by authorities, as new evidence has emerged from the ongoing investigation. According to a report by Star TV, the doctor allegedly took not one but two photos of Giorgos Mazonakis inside her Kolonaki clinic while he was undergoing plasmapheresis. According to the latest information, she had taken a second photo and had also recorded the artist on video.

The second photo and video taken by the doctor
The photos are reported to have been taken at 14:44 and 14:45. In the images, the singer appears with his eyes closed. Based on the timestamps recorded in the photo files, they were allegedly taken before Giorgos Mazonakis collapsed.
However, according to evidence presented in the Star TV report, both photos were deleted from the doctor’s phone at 19:00 — approximately one hour before she went to the Security Police. The findings of the report, along with all other evidence gathered during the investigation, are now being assessed by judicial authorities in order to clarify exactly what happened inside the clinic during the critical hours before and after the singer’s collapse.
The plasmapheresis machine import company and its possible connection to the two doctors
At the same time, according to ERT (Greek public broadcasting), investigators are examining a possible connection between the accused doctors and a company that imports plasmapheresis machines. Specifically, a separate premises in Kolonaki, on Patriarchou Ioakim Street, is at the center of the investigation, as it appears to be registered as the company’s headquarters.
A relative of the male doctor reportedly appears as the company’s administrator, while up until the day of Giorgos Mazonakis’ death, the doctor’s name was listed on the company’s doorbell — and, according to the relevant report, was subsequently removed.
Two doctors charged with manslaughter with probable intent
It should be recalled that supplementary criminal charges have been filed against the two accused doctors in connection with the death of Giorgos Mazonakis. The examining magistrate, after evaluating new evidence submitted by police authorities, requested that the charges be upgraded to manslaughter with probable intent, and supplementary prosecution was subsequently pursued. The two accused doctors were granted time to prepare their defense statements.
This constitutes a felony carrying a sentence of life imprisonment if no mitigating circumstances are recognized, with the possibility of pretrial detention following testimony before an examining magistrate. The lesser charge of negligent homicide carries a temporary prison sentence of up to 10 years, with pretrial detention applicable only under very specific conditions. The charge upgrade followed new evidence that emerged from the police investigation. For this reason, both accused doctors requested and were granted additional time to deliver their statements, scheduled for Tuesday at 13:00.
Four alerts from the plasmapheresis machine
Regarding the plasmapheresis procedure that Giorgos Mazonakis underwent, sources indicate that digital analysis of the machine shows that the first alert was triggered at 15:22, at which point the treatment stopped, followed by three more alerts — one at 15:23 and two at 15:45. This means, according to the same sources, that while the machine had already ceased operating, the singer was still connected to it.
The call to the national emergency medical service (EKAV) was made well after 15:22 — specifically, according to official sources, at 16:21. This creates a significant time gap between the moment the first — and even the third — alarm sounded and the emergency call being made. This window of time will be a central focus of the authorities’ investigation into what occurred inside the clinic from the moment the serious medical emergency arose until the call for help was finally placed.
New testimony from a former patient of the doctors
Following the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, testimonies from former patients of the two doctors continue to come to light. A former patient of the female doctor spoke on the television program “Live News,” describing her own experience at the clinic.
“I had survived cancer and was in a very bad psychological state. I was looking for something to hold onto. The doctor sat me down in a chair and attached electrodes to my head, hands, and feet. She told me she was measuring my aura with them — supposedly on her computer. My psychological state and my general physical condition. If what she saw on the computer was rainbow-colored, you were fine; if it was yellow, you had some kind of health problem. She told me my result came out yellow, which meant I had some gynecological issues. She told me she would perform a ‘Theta’ therapy on me, and had one of her associates carry it out,” the former patient said, before continuing: “She then recommended a specific diet and a range of supplements — Russian products of unknown origin. Everything was extremely expensive. The prescriptions cost up to €500, and I was told to pick them up from a specific pharmacy in Pagkrati. At the end, she also told me I had toxic teeth and recommended I see a specialist holistic dentist. That’s when I was horrified and never went back. In total, for the three visits I made to the clinic, plus the supplements I purchased from the pharmacy, I spent around €1,700.”
