Shocking new revelations surrounding the sudden death of Giorgos Mazonakis continue to emerge. The beloved Greek singer suffered a cardiac arrest, apparently during a plasmapheresis procedure at a private medical clinic in the upscale Athens neighborhood of Kolonaki. His attorney, Charalampos Lykoudes, has now revealed that the singer lay unconscious at the clinic for a full hour and a half before anyone took action.
Giorgos Mazonakis death: Sia Kosionis erupts over shocking new revelations about the circumstances of his passing
In response to these disturbing new developments, Sia Kosioni gave an impassioned on-air reaction during the ANT1 evening news broadcast, expressing her personal outrage at how the doctors at the Kolonaki clinic handled the situation.
“What are we hearing? If this is confirmed, then we are talking about the absolute pinnacle of cynicism. This is inhumane. If it is confirmed that the man lay there, dead, in a corner of that clinic for an hour and a half, and their only concern was how to cover their tracks… This shocks me on a deeply human level,” Sia Kosioni said. She then added: “I want to be very careful here, because we are aware of the health issues Giorgos Mazonakis had — that is widely known. We do not yet have the results of the forensic examination, so officially we do not know what happened, and we should not be rushing to judge anyone.“
“Let us not judge these people, let us not condemn them — justice exists and things are taking their course. But what I am saying is that some very serious questions have arisen here. On one hand, we have a sort-of clinic, two sort-of doctors, and a sort-of treatment. On the other, we have a state that conducts sort-of inspections,” she continued, speaking about the circumstances surrounding Giorgos Mazonakis’s death. At that point, fellow journalist Nikos Hatzinikolaou interjected: “I’ll go along with most of what you said — but ‘sort-of inspections’? I won’t agree with that, Sia. No inspections at all! None whatsoever! And do you want to know why? Because these people were posting videos online and openly advertising activities that are strictly prohibited from taking place in such premises.“
The conversation continued as both journalists discussed all the latest developments and revelations about the Kolonaki clinic where Giorgos Mazonakis drew his last breath.
