A flight scheduled to depart from Thessaloniki’s “Macedonia” Airport to Germany on Thursday evening (6/8) was cancelled for safety reasons after a bird was found lodged inside one of the aircraft’s engines.

Safety protocol activated
According to a report by ThessPost.gr, passengers on the affected flight waited for an extended period in the boarding area before airline staff informed them that the flight would be cancelled due to safety concerns, following the discovery of a bird inside the plane’s engine. As required by standard safety protocol, airline personnel carried out the necessary procedures to remove the bird from the engine. Affected passengers are expected to travel today.
