Summer conditions are expected on Thursday (2/7), with weather forecast to be generally sunny across most of the country, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). During midday and afternoon hours, temporary cloud cover will develop over mainland areas, bringing local rainfall and scattered thunderstorms, mainly over the central and northern mountainous regions. Winds will blow from the west-northwest at 3 to 5 Beaufort, reaching up to 6 Beaufort locally in the south.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly but will remain at elevated levels, reaching 30 to 33 degrees Celsius in the Cyclades, northern Crete, the Eastern Aegean islands, and the Dodecanese. Elsewhere across the country, temperatures will range from 34 to 36 degrees, while locally on the mainland they could climb as high as 37 degrees Celsius.

Weather: Temporary cloud cover in Western Macedonia during the morning hours. Remaining areas will be generally sunny, however cloud cover will develop during midday and afternoon, bringing local showers and, mainly in the mountains, scattered thunderstorms.
Winds: Variable at 2 to 3 Beaufort, northeast up to 4 Beaufort in eastern areas.
Temperature: From 20 to 34 degrees Celsius, locally up to 35 to 36 degrees in central Macedonia. 2 to 3 degrees lower in Western Macedonia.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN CENTRAL GREECE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Generally sunny. During midday and afternoon, temporary cloud cover will develop over mainland areas, with local showers and scattered thunderstorms expected mainly over the mountainous mainland of Epirus, Western Central Greece, and the Western Peloponnese.
Winds: Variable at 3 Beaufort, shifting to west-northwest at 4 to 5 Beaufort from midday onward.
Temperature: From 23 to 33 degrees Celsius, locally up to 34 to 35 degrees on the mainland. 2 to 3 degrees lower in the interior of Epirus.
THESSALY, EASTERN CENTRAL GREECE, EUBOEA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Generally sunny. During midday and afternoon, temporary cloud cover will develop over mainland areas, with local showers expected. Scattered thunderstorms will also occur mainly in the mountains of Thessaly and Eastern Central Greece.
Winds: Variable at 3 to 4 Beaufort, from westerly directions at 4 to 5 Beaufort in the south, locally reaching 6 Beaufort until the afternoon.
Temperature: From 22 to 36 degrees Celsius, locally up to 37 degrees on the mainland.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Sunny with few clouds, temporarily increasing during midday and afternoon hours over the mountains of Crete, where local showers are expected.
Winds: From westerly directions at 4 to 5 Beaufort, locally 6 Beaufort in Crete.
Temperature: From 24 to 31 degrees Celsius. Locally 32 to 33 degrees Celsius in northern Crete.
EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
