What they said in their defense
During their defense, the five motorcyclists stated they are probationary members of the Hells Angels. They explained that the reason they had knives, clubs, and knuckle dusters in their possession was because in their country, possession of these specific items is not prohibited. At the same time, they maintained that they used the knives for cutting food and fruits during their journey, as well as for cleaning their motorcycles, while characterizing the club as a souvenir item. “We passed through five countries and only in Greece did they check us. The Hells Angels come to Greece and do not pose a problem for the country. We will go to Igoumenitsa,” declared one of the Polish motorcyclists to ERT Serres immediately after the trial concluded.
