Weather conditions will be unstable today in many parts of the country, with local rainfall and scattered thunderstorms occurring mainly in western, central and northern mainland areas, according to the forecast from the National Meteorological Service (EMY).
Temperatures will show a slight drop, particularly in western and northern parts of the country. In most areas, the mercury will range between 28 and 29 degrees Celsius, while in eastern mainland regions it will reach 30 to 31 degrees. At the same time, southerly winds in the Aegean will blow locally with intensity up to 7 Beaufort.
From evening hours, phenomena are expected to weaken, while in the coming days the weather will gradually improve, with temperatures rising and rainfall significantly limited.

In the northern parts of the Ionian, Epirus and western Central Greece, cloudiness with local rainfall and scattered thunderstorms. In the remaining mainland areas, light cloudiness that will gradually increase and local rainfall or showers will occur, mainly at midday-afternoon in central and northern areas with scattered thunderstorms. Visibility will be locally limited during morning and evening hours.
Winds will blow from south-southwest directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 6 and locally 7 Beaufort. In the afternoon in western and central areas they will turn to west-northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature will drop mainly in western and northern areas. It will reach 28 to 29 degrees in most regions and 30 to 31 degrees Celsius in eastern mainland areas.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Light cloudiness that will quickly increase and local rainfall or showers will occur, mainly at midday-afternoon with scattered thunderstorms. Improvement expected from late evening.
Winds: From southern directions 3 to 4 and in eastern coastal areas locally 5 Beaufort, from afternoon variable light.
Temperature: From 16 to 30. In western Macedonia it will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN CENTRAL GREECE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: In northern parts of the Ionian, Epirus and western Central Greece, cloudiness with local rainfall and scattered thunderstorms.
In other areas light cloudiness temporarily increased at midday-afternoon with possibility of local showers mainly in mountainous areas. Improvement expected after afternoon.
Winds: From southern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, from afternoon turning to west-northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 17 to 28 degrees Celsius. In interior Epirus it will be 2 to 4 degrees lower.
THESSALY, EASTERN CENTRAL GREECE, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Light cloudiness that will gradually increase and local rainfall or showers will occur, mainly at midday-afternoon in Thessaly, central Greece and Evia with scattered thunderstorms. Improvement expected from evening.
Winds: South-southwest 3 to 5 and from evening northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 17 to 30 and in eastern Central Greece and eastern Peloponnese up to 31 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
