Police proceeded with the arrest of 24 drivers as part of a special operational campaign conducted throughout the Attica basin from Thursday morning (28/5) to the early morning hours of Tuesday (2/6). According to data from the Hellenic Police, during the intensive checks, a total of 21,126 alcohol tests were conducted, while 195 violations related to driving under the influence of alcohol were confirmed. Of the 24 drivers arrested, 10 were recorded with alcohol levels above 0.60 mg/l.
5,786 violations confirmed in Attica
Additionally, 5,786 violations were confirmed, including exceeding the maximum speed limit, not wearing protective helmets, using mobile phones, running traffic lights, driving without a license, and others. Furthermore, 487 vehicles were immobilized, of which 148 were towed, while 612 driving licenses and 265 vehicle registration documents were confiscated.
It should be noted that positive test results amount to only 0.92% of the total.
