The asset declarations of Greek political leaders were released on Monday morning, May 11, with the 2025 wealth statements (for 2024 usage) including real estate transactions, inheritances, income increases or decreases, and stock investments. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis sold bonds worth 500,000 euros, while his wife, Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, sold a 520 sq.m. property in the United Kingdom for 724,216 pounds.

Asset declarations: Serifos property purchase for Androulakis
Meanwhile, opposition leader Nikos Androulakis declared the purchase of a 40 sq.m. house in Serifos for 120,000 euros. His annual income dropped to 58,042 euros from 128,610 euros declared in 2023, while his deposits decreased from 1,076,358 euros to 58,393 euros in 2024.
The PASOK president owns 17 properties across Athens, Crete, the Cyclades, and an apartment in Belgium, with his latest acquisition being the Serifos house for 120,000 euros. He also has stakes in two businesses and owns one car. Notably, while his previous statement showed deposits exceeding 1 million euros, this year’s amount doesn’t exceed 60,000 euros.
House sales for Velopoulos
Kyriakos Velopoulos, leader of Greek Solution, sold two houses in Pella and Halkidiki, plus grazing land in Halkidiki according to his asset declaration. Meanwhile, Niki party president Dimitris Natsios purchased two cars, one of which was used.
Tsipras acquired two apartments in Dionysus through parental provision
Former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras acquired two apartments in Dionysus through parental provision in 2024, while inheriting 25% of an 855 sq.m. plot in Athamanio, Arta. He declared total net income from employment, allowances etc. of 33,408.24 euros, plus tax-exempt income of 32,732.40 euros. His real estate income was 10,700 euros.
His deposits are held in the same bank across seven accounts—four active and three dormant. The largest amount is 160,356.10 euros including current year income, followed by 64,756.70 euros, 45,157.26 euros and 45,133.18 euros from previous years. Tsipras has a business loan from CEPAL HELLAS with zero outstanding debt, plus credit card debts of 771.95 euros and 5,403.72 euros to be paid by 2027 and 2028 respectively.
He also declares:
* Property in eastern Attica, ground floor apartment 119.89 sq.m., acquired in 2024.
* Property in eastern Attica, first floor apartment 211.81 sq.m., acquired in 2024.
* Property in Attica, fourth floor apartment 64.50 sq.m., acquired in 1996.
* Property in Attica, fourth floor 46.50 sq.m., acquired in 1996.
Finally, his declaration includes a 652cc motorcycle acquired in 2007.
Democrats-Progressive Center president Stefanos Kasselakis declared income of 8,372.85 euros from business activity and 122,430.01 dollars from foreign real estate. Kasselakis has eight bank accounts, including one at JP MORGAN with 1,631.32 euros. He received 3,875,045 dollars from mutual fund sales while declaring 122,430 dollars income from foreign properties. He maintains high debt obligations of 1.581 million dollars. His husband Tyler McBeth purchased a 246 sq.m. apartment in Kolonaki for 1,826,416 euros.
Afroditi Latinopoulou’s income increase
Voice of Reason president and MEP Afroditi Latinopoulou saw increased income according to her 2025 asset declaration. Her total income reached 82,496.89 euros, including 4,225.31 euros from business activity, 18,900.89 euros from employment and allowances, and 59,370.69 euros from European Parliament compensation.
She maintains five bank accounts with the largest amounts—29,259.31 euros and 56,261.29 euros—held at Piraeus Bank. Regarding real estate, she declares two properties and owns a car acquired in 2018.
Ministers and MPs asset declarations
Among cabinet members, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou sold a 214 sq.m. apartment and parking space in Athens for 1.2 million euros, while Maritime and Island Policy Minister Vassilis Kikilias sold land for 900,000 euros and bought an Athens apartment for 1 million euros.
Labor Minister Niki Kerameus inherited a house in Psychiko and two apartments in Oia, Santorini. Former Agricultural Development Minister Kostas Tsiaras sold Paros properties for half a million euros. Phthiotis MP Yannis Oikonomou sold an Agios Dimitrios apartment for 280,000 euros. Former Finance Minister Christos Staikouras acquired four apartments in Agios Konstantinos, Phthiotis through parental provision. PASOK’s Heraklion MP Fragkiskos Parasyris acquired a 3.5-acre tree plantation in Temenos municipality, while SYRIZA’s western sector MP Rena Dourou bought land in Pikermi for 300,000 euros with her partner.
Independent MP Pavlos Sarakis appears to be once again the wealthiest MP, investing part of his 18 million euro fee from the US Novartis case by founding “MEL SYL Real Estate Investments Single-Member SA” with initial capital of 6 million euros, later reaching 10 million euros. His 2024 income totaled 697,125 euros. He opened a safe deposit box in Switzerland and deposited 6.13 million dollars in a Central European bank.
