An incredible traffic accident occurred in Rhodes, when a 33-ton cement mixer “invaded” a house yard. According to rodiaki.gr, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (23/04) in the Treis area, when the driver of the cement mixer loaded with concrete, lost control and ended up in a house yard, where the vehicle eventually overturned. Fortunately, the serious incident caused only material damage, as reported by the local media.

The recovery process for the vehicle -which weighs 33 tons- is expected to begin within the next few hours. In case a specialized crane vehicle cannot remove it, procedures for dismantling it will begin.
Meanwhile, the drivers’ union “Saint Christopher” expressed their support for their colleague cement mixer driver in an announcement, with union members arriving at the accident scene from the first moment. Additionally, vehicles and personnel from the Rhodes Fire Service as well as police rushed to the scene to provide assistance.
