Marriott International is further strengthening its presence in the Greek hospitality market, announcing the creation of two new luxury hotel units in Rhodes, in partnership with the Atlantica Hotels & Resorts Group. The new resorts, Aphi Aura, Rhodes – Autograph Collection and Amoh, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes, are expected to open their doors in spring 2026, placing Rhodes on the global map of high-level hospitality. This investment strengthens Marriott’s portfolio in Greece and confirms the continued momentum of Greek tourism, especially in the luxury travel experiences sector.
With the completion of the two new units, Marriott will count 47 hotels in Greece, of which 11 bear the Luxury Collection brand and nine the Autograph Collection. Rhodes, with its intense tourism development and strategic position in the Mediterranean, thus further strengthens its role as a high-standard destination.
The new resorts in Rhodes
Aphi Aura, Rhodes – Autograph Collection will operate from April 1, 2026, with 204 rooms. It is located in Kolympia, just 20 minutes from Rhodes town.
A little earlier, in March 2026, Amoh, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes will open, inspired by the tradition of stonework and its proximity to the Acropolis of Lindos. With 197 rooms and suites, the hotel combines natural stone with linen fabrics and earthy tones.
The Marriott – Atlantica partnership
The partnership between the two groups is part of Marriott’s development strategy in the Eastern Mediterranean and Atlantica’s philosophy of diversifying its tourism product. The Atlantica Hotels & Resorts Group, one of the largest hotel groups in Greece and Cyprus, operates 50 hotels and maintains a strategic partnership with TUI, through the joint company Atlantica Hellas S.A.
This partnership is not limited to management alone, but extends to investments, development of new brands and repositioning of existing ones, with the goal of strengthening competitiveness and sustainability of the units.
