A visit full of emotion in the city he loves
The visit was made in connection with Stoiximan’s donation to cover the educational needs of the children, as part of the company’s corporate responsibility program “Iroes.” Through this initiative, Stoiximan provides tangible support in the daily lives of the children, giving them access to the educational resources they need to learn, grow, and look toward the future with greater opportunity.
Within the grounds of the Village, the Stoiximan team and Antonis Remos had the chance to connect with the children and the dedicated staff who are by their side every day. They talked, played, exchanged gifts, and shared spontaneous moments that gave the visit a deeply personal character.
Stoiximan’s “Iroes” corporate responsibility program encompasses initiatives focused on Sports, Health, and Education. In the case of the Greek Children’s Village in Filyro, the emphasis is placed on Education and meaningful support for the children, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities they need for their next step in life.
The Greek Children’s Village in Filyro has been in operation since 1996, providing a safe and supportive environment for children who have been deprived of a family setting. As a recognized, non-profit and independent organization — one that operates without an institutional character — it stands by the children every day, supporting their personal, academic, and social development.
Antonis Remos: “It is very important to offer real, practical support to an organization that stands by these children every single day”
Antonis Remos stated: “It is a great joy for me to be here today, in Thessaloniki — my city — at the Greek Children’s Village in Filyro, alongside the Iroes of Stoiximan. It is very important to offer real, practical support to an organization that stands by these children every single day, creating a safe environment for them while opening up more opportunities for learning and growth. I am especially glad that through my collaboration with Stoiximan, we have the opportunity to contribute to this effort and share wonderful moments with the children.”
Maria Kalapotharakou, Head of Communications & CSR at Stoiximan, said: “Through ‘Iroes,’ we want to be close to people and their real needs, with initiatives that have continuity and meaning. Supporting the Greek Children’s Village in Filyro is yet another opportunity for us to make a tangible contribution to Education and to provide children with the resources that can truly make a difference in their lives.”
Elisavet Paraschou, President of the Greek Children’s Village in Filyro, stated: “Education is one of the most important tools we can give our children, enabling them to develop their potential and build their future with confidence. We warmly thank Stoiximan and the Iroes team for their meaningful support of the educational needs of the children of the Village, as well as Antonis Remos for his presence today. Initiatives like this strengthen the daily effort we make to offer children the opportunities and resources they need for the next step in their lives.”
