The results of a new nationwide survey conducted by MRB Hellas on behalf of Metropolitan College shed light on the strong and effective alignment between the institution’s academic programs and the real-world demands of today’s business environment. The survey was conducted at a time when the European labor market faces mounting challenges around talent acquisition and retention. Against this backdrop, data relating to graduates from the 2023–2025 period demonstrates the institution’s strength, with an impressive employment rate of 81%.
This figure surpasses official Eurostat data by 14 percentage points, which places the national average employment rate for recent higher education graduates in Greece at 67%. In terms of field relevance, 79% of employed graduates work in roles directly related to their area of study, significantly limiting the phenomenon of skills mismatch.
Time-to-market remains high, with 71% of graduates — nearly 3 in 4 — securing a position within the first six months of completing their studies. Additionally, 86% are employed on a full-time basis, while 77% — nearly 8 in 10 — report satisfaction with their work, a result closely linked to the development of both hard and soft skills throughout their studies.
On the subject of earnings, the survey reveals that 1 in 4 Metropolitan College graduates earns over €1,300 net per month. This figure is 25% higher than the average earnings of young workers aged 20–34 who completed higher education within the last three years, according to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT). The institution’s graduate employability strategy aligns with the standards set by its partner British universities, where graduate employment outcomes serve as a key performance indicator in international rankings.
Dr. Christina Paraskevopoulou, Managing Director of the Alphabet Education Group — to which the institution belongs — commented: “The MRB survey results validate our strategic decision to invest in internationally accredited academic programs that respond to real market needs. In a constantly evolving economic environment, our graduates’ employment rate of over 80% serves as a guarantee for our students, who see their investment in education translate directly into a successful career path — and as a clear signal of market confidence in our graduates.”
Innovative AI tools for professional networking
The group is advancing the integration of technology tools through its Career, Employability & Alumni department, which continues to expand its network of partner companies for internship placements and organizes skills workshops from the very first year of study. Central to this effort is the “MitropolitikoCareers” platform, which leverages AI to automatically match graduates with available job openings, giving partner businesses direct access to work-ready candidates. Looking ahead, the upcoming Alumni Classter will serve as a central networking hub for graduates, complemented by the newly established annual Alumni Awards.
